Our 1–2 hour weekly group skate sessions, aligned with the Victorian school calendar (9–10 week programs), are designed to help skaters aged 4–17 become more confident and capable on their boards.
All Term Skaters benefit from personalised one-on-one coaching alongside their group sessions. Our coaching is tailored to support each skater’s journey—whether they’re learning to navigate a skatepark, cruise a parking lot, or confidently roll to a friend’s house.
With a little practice between sessions, skaters can reinforce skills and progress faster each week. Our sessions are all about building confidence, encouraging progression, and pushing boundaries in a safe, supportive environment—and of course, having fun and connecting with other skaters!

SOME FAQ’S
Can I book into the term halfway through? We totally get the enthusiasm, but our programs are designed to build skills step-by-step, like levelling up in a game. Joining halfway can throw off the flow and make it tricky for everyone to progress smoothly. Think of it like hopping into a dance routine mid-performance… fun idea, slightly chaotic reality! We keep things safe, structured, and super fun by starting everyone together. But don’t worry, next term is just around the corner, and we’d love to have you roll in then!
Can I book a trial session? Possibly! It depends on capacity, but we’d love to try make it work. Just shoot us an email at info@curbsidecoaching.com.au and we’ll see what we can do!
I can’t make a session can I do a make up session? Short answer, YES. We run 2 dedicated Make-Up Sessions per term for Groms, Beginners & Intermediates Level 1 & 2 - these are Friday arvo sessions. Why we dont offer make up sessions in our regular sessions?
Keeps regular classes safe & smooth
Fair access for everyone
Focused catch-up time with coaches. You can make up to 2 missed classes per term, just come to the dedicated session. Easy peasy, skatey squeezy!
Can I watch my child during Group Sessions? We get it, watching your kid shred is awesome. BUT for our Beginners to Advanced sessions, we run a drop-and-go vibe. Kids focus better without an audience (plus, nobody needs stage fright when they’re learning to roll). That said, we do welcome parents to the first session to meet the coach and help your little skater settle in. If you need to stay after that, we kindly ask you stay off the skatepark floor, safety first!
Worried your child might need a bit of extra support? Totally normal. Just chat with their coach, we’re here to help every kid feel comfortable.
What about Groms? Groms = tiny skaters + full parental presence. You’ll be there for every session in a designated area, as pointed out by your coach. Why? To keep it safe and make sure no randoms wander in during skate time. You’re part of the team!
