Skate of Mind is Kingston Youth Service’s annual youth skate and scooter competition, bringing together young people and the community for an action-packed day of fun.
With competitions, pro rider demos, food trucks, giveaways and music, the event is a highlight for young people aged 12 to 25 and their families.
This is a free, family-friendly, alcohol, drug, smoke and vape free event designed to celebrate skate and scooter culture in a welcoming environment.

Both the Skate and Scooter competitions will include structured heats and a fun “Best Trick” element, with categories for ages 12 to 25. Competitors will have the chance to show their skills, win prizes, and be part of a fun day celebrating skate and scooter culture.

Eligibility
Open to young people aged 12 to 25 who live, work, study or recreate in the City of Kingston.
Live: Reside in the City of Kingston
Work: Employed within the City of Kingston
Study: Attend school, or TAFE within the City of Kingston
Recreate: use Kingston’s facilities, services or programs on a regular basis at least once a month (e.g. skate parks, sports clubs)
